Best Products To Sell On Etsy To Make Money
If you have been thinking of selling on Etsy but you cannot think of what to sell on Etsy to make money then then I will give you some great ideas on how to start selling on Etsy and set you in the right direction to make money online with Etsy.
Etsy is an online marketplace that is filled with creative customised products, over a million stores and millions of buyers so it is very well established and a brand that has now set it's foundation online like Amazon and Ebay however Etsy has it's own unique customers.
Unlike Amazon who pride themselves on fast delivery or eBay who have their auction listings, Etsy aim to put products in front of you that are unique, bespoke or custom so instead of competing with other sellers on Etsy, as long as you have some unique products, you can reach out to potential buyers and not worry about competing on the lowest price which often happens on Amazon and eBay.

How I Went From Broke To $15,000 A Month
In the above video I go through in detail how I helped people do over $500,000 in orders in the space of 5 months. I explain a little later in this blog how I did this.
You heard that right, that was over half a million dollars in sales.
It all started during the global pandemic when people were really wanting to purchase protective equipment such as face masks, disposable gloves and hand sanitisers etc.
If you have a look at the image below around March April which was the peak of the lockdown, you can see that the search for face masks was higher then it had ever been because people were in a sense of panic.

As more and more people started to want face masks, unfortunately this gave the rise to price gauging where many unfair sellers were charging extortionate amounts for these products which led marketplaces like eBay and Amazon to ban the sale of face masks as you can see here
After a few weeks of that happening, the World Health Organisation recommended that you should wear face coverings so Etsy came on board and said it's OK for sellers to sell face masks as long as they do no make any medical claims or mention Covid. You can read the full policy of selling face masks on Etsy here
So what does all this have to do with best selling products on Etsy?
Whilst many creators who had experience in crafting and sewing with fabrics, many online sellers did not have these skills could not sell medical face masks but wanted to jump on the bandwagon because one of the most sort after items just became available. This is where I came in.
I used my influence to convince a Print On Demand company called ThisNew to bring in a large variety of face masks that can be customised for people to sell on Etsy.
Although they are based in China, their turn around times for delivery are quite fast. Once you place an order, it takes around 3-5 days for them to produce an post the order and around 2-3 weeks for delivery as you can see from some of recent tracking information I have provided below

Print on Demand is a business model where you upload designs on to a site like Etsy. For example, you can upload T-shirt designs, Mugs, Bottles and hoodies etc. When someone buys off you on Etsy, you then place the design order on a print on demand supplier site like ThisNew, they will then print the design on to the product and post the item directly to the customer

I was pretty much the first person (straight after the World health Organisation announcement) all over the internet, whether it be online or Google, to show people how to design and sell face masks online.
As you can imagine, sales for ThisNew shot through the roof. They showed me a few stores selling their products and I could see that people were doing 2x, 3x, up to 4x markups.
People who joined through my link had processed over $200,000 in order which means that at least $500,000 in sales had been done. Over half them orders came from face masks resulting in over $100,000 in face mask orders.
Some sellers were dropshipping so placing one order at a time and some were ordering in bulk after they got their samples because they were happy with the quality so they ordered large quantities to their own country and offered faster shipping because they already had the item to hand.
Here are some sample images sent to me by Veronica Lynn Harper who her own store

As you can see, Veronica has made some wonderful designs and even designing a matching swimsuit to accompany the face mask which you can do on ThisNew

Is the hype over?
I must admit that the absolute best time to sell face masks was as soon as Etsy allowed them to be sold, since then they have slowed down a little but there is still a huge market for them because not only are some places making it a requirement to wear a face mask but more and more people are starting to realise that face masks can also be an item of fashion and they do not need to look like they are a doctor about to walk into an operating theatre.
Veronica is a prime example of how to make face masks look good.
Where do I start?
Often people think that selling online is not for them because they have no experience in business but no one is telling you to be the next Jeff Bezos, all you have to do is start off as a hobby and if you can make money off your hobby or passion then start looking into how you can develop it.
I have created a complete step by step guide on how to start a print on demand business. Whilst some are charging hundreds, some thousands for information like this, I am giving it to you for 100%
And no I am not inviting you to a fake webinar with a fake audience like many of these fake gurus do, this is a completely free course with enough information in there to teach you the fundamentals of starting a print on demand business

How much does it cost to sell on Etsy?
It costs $0.20 in US or £0.20 in UK to publish listings on Etsy so if you list 5 products a day, it will only cost $1 or £1 a day to keep adding 5 items a day to your store. You spend more than that on a coffee
Once item sells, there is a 5% transaction fee on the sale price (including the shipping price you set).
There are many other things you may want to learn
How to design products
What products are profitable
How much can you make
What will sell
How to find a good niche
How to list items
and much more
all of these are not only answered in the free course but I go through them in details
